UPCOMING GROWTH GROUPS AT FIRST CHURCH

When it seems like all of life is on pause your faith doesn’t have to be. Join us online as we host multiple studies that are designed to help you continue to grow your faith during this unique season we find ourselves in.

All class resources can be found on Right Now Media. If you have not yet signed up, follow this link to create your own profile and begin taking advantage of this enormous virtual library. This is a gift that has been given to you on behalf of Butler First United Methodist Church. Once you create your profile you will have access to thousands of resources to help deepen your faith!

During this time of social distancing, we will be using Zoom Communications for our growth groups. Here is a little more information about Zoom:

What is Zoom Communications?

  • Zoom is the leader in online platforms that allow multiple people to be engaged at the same time over video conferencing.

How does it work?

  • After choosing the study of your choice and signing up for it the leader will contact you with further instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting. You will be sent an email with a link in it. You simply click on the link and it will take you to a Zoom video conferencing room where your host will be waiting for you. Zoom gives you the option of using video and voice or just voice if you desire.

What if I don’t have a computer?

  • You don’t need a computer to access Zoom. If you have a smart phone you will be able to access the Zoom meeting via a phone number as well and still have video and voice abilities.

What if I don’t have a smart phone?

  • You don’t need a smart phone to be a apart of the Zoom meeting either. You will be given a phone number to call and access the meeting. I would suggest being in a place where you can set your phone on speaker and have a journal in front of you where you can fully engage in the study via voice.
