Feb. 25, 2022
Jesus has completely changed how we relate to God. No longer is God accessible only by a high priest chosen by lot. Now, Jesus is our high priest. He has done once and for all time what high priests had to do every year, with no real confidence that the sacrifice offered would be accepted by God. Because of Jesus, we can relate to God as sons and daughters, forgiven and loved with a love that cannot be conquered. It is a promise and a hope that will never fade and never die. We must hold unswervingly to this hope – we must “take our stand” on it – as we step into God’s new day, and we must constantly spur each other on to stand there too, going “all in” on the promise and faithfulness of God.
Hebrews 10:19-25
