Christmas Day Dinner
Promise of Life Network
Our goal is to fill 100 baby bottles to raise money for young mothers and to save the lives of babies not yet born. You may fill them with coins, dollar bills, and checks.

Second Grace
Winter Clothes Collection – Throughout the rest of November, please donate new or gently used winter clothing items of all kinds and for all ages/sizes.

The Lighthouse Foundation
– Collect new, unwrapped toys for children between the ages of 0-12.
– Provide gift cards with
a value of at least $25
for teens 13-17.

Community Outreach
Outreach ministry teams provide a wonderful way for us to serve alongside others as we meet the needs of the community while spreading the Gospel. While some of the ministries may require a certain skill or gifting, most ministry opportunities are open to anyone. You will find people of all backgrounds and stages of life serving together in meaningful ways. Check out the list of serving opportunities below.
- Community Meal – Friday’s from 4:00 – 6:00pm
- Second Grace Clothing Distribution – Third Friday of the month
from 4:00 – 6:00pm - Broad Street School Lunch Aide – Any week day from 11:30 – 1:00pm
- Meal Train Team – Serving meals to those who recently had a baby
or are recovering from surgery - Fishbone Meal Team – Third Thursday of the month from 4:30 – 6:00pm
- Yarniacs – Quilt Bible covers and prayer blankets – Wednesday’s
from 10:00am – 11:00pm
Community Meal
Since 1991, First Church has served a hot meal every Friday at 5 pm to anyone in need. Here our volunteers and the people they serve come together just as Jesus did with all kinds of people. These meals provide an opportunity for us to share the good news of Jesus and help care for those in need in our community.
Matthew 25: 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

Second Grace
Second Grace is the clothing ministry of First Church. This ministry seeks to care for others in need with an open heart so others can see Christ through them.
The ministry accepts gently used or new clothing. All clothing should be clean and stain free. Donations are accepted at the church during business hours. The volunteers of the ministry meet once a month to sort all the clothing and distribute it. The shop is open on the third Friday of each month from 4-6 pm.
