My name is David Janz, Senior Pastor of First Church. I am blessed beyond measure to work and journey with this amazing group of staff and leaders. I am responsible for the “WHY” at the core of everything we do as a church. That includes casting vision, preaching, teaching and giving general leadership and oversight to all of our life together. Over the past 40 years I have served churches in Western Pennsylvania ranging from four small country churches in Greene County to being an Associate Pastor at a large church in Westmoreland County now to First Church, my third Senior Pastor position. My wife Betsy and I have two grown children and two beautiful grandchildren. Our new puppy Henry, and Mosey the cat allow us to share space with them in a house on Elizabeth Drive here in Butler. I love fishing and gardening and wilderness – places where God reveals His presence in deep ways.
