My name is David Janz, Senior Pastor of First Church. I am blessed beyond measure to work and journey with this amazing group of staff and leaders. I am responsible for the “WHY” at the core of everything we do as a church. That includes casting vision, preaching, teaching and giving general leadership and oversight to all of our life together. Over the past 40 years I have served churches in Western Pennsylvania ranging from four small country churches in Greene County to being an Associate Pastor at a large church in Westmoreland County now to First Church, my third Senior Pastor position. My wife Betsy and I have two grown children and two beautiful grandchildren. Our new puppy Henry, and Mosey the cat allow us to share space with them in a house on Elizabeth Drive here in Butler. I love fishing and gardening and wilderness – places where God reveals His presence in deep ways.

My name is Sang Hak Lee and I am the Associate Pastor of First Church. I joined First Church after serving as Senior Pastor at St. Marys First United Methodist Church in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. During his time in Korea, I earned my Bachelor’s in Theology, a Masters of Theology and a Masters of Divinity while serving as an ordained minister and pastor.

My wife and I relocated in the United States in 2007 where I pursued doctoral studies coursework at Asbury Theological Seminary. After my schooling I has served as pastor in various churches in Kansas and Pennsylvania.

My spiritual gifts for ministry are preaching, pastoral care, and building discipleship programs. My wife, Jong Youn Lee, and I have two daughters studying at institutions of higher education. The family will reside in Butler.
